The Origin
Freelance Project | Year: 2019
Tools Used: Photoshop, Illustrator
For this freelance project, the client was launching a podcast discussing The Federalist Papers and needed a complete branding package. They requested a logo, YouTube cover and profile graphics, and a canvas print for the podcast set. After exploring several name ideas, I developed The Origin, inspired by the central theme of beginnings found throughout the book.

Building on that concept, I created multiple logo options that blended the historical tone of the subject matter with a musical influence, as the client was also a musician. The final logo features a microphone icon—symbolizing both music and podcasting—and a classic serif typeface that evokes a timeless, foundational feel.

For the canvas print, I incorporated the logo into an illustrated background resembling sound waves, visually connecting the theme of voice and communication. I also designed a simplified logo variation featuring the “O” and microphone for use as a profile image. The client was thrilled with the cohesive, meaningful branding and the way it visually represented their podcast’s identity.
